Managing Abnormal Paps & Vulvar Disease

You asked at the 2007 conference and we have responded! “More time on managing abnormal paps and vulvar disease!”

Explore the causes of pre-malignant and malignant disease of the cervix and highlight the relationship between HPV and abnormal pap tests. You’ll also have a chance to test your skills at identifying common and not-so-common vulvar lesions, including clinical differentiations and treatment options for infectious and non-infectious vulvar conditions. Current research concerning HPV testing, incorporating the HPV vaccine into prevention care and treatment for complications of HPV, including external genital warts and cervical cancer, will be reviewed.

This Preconference will enable you to:

  • Describe the relationship between HPV and cervical disease.
  • Discuss the guidelines for follow-up of abnormal pap tests.
  • Recommend management options for LSIL and HSIL.
  • Differentiate viral, bacterial and neoplastic vulvar skin lesions.
