(Registration is required and space is limited. See description below.)

Special Session

Boston - Saturday, March 8
San Francisco - Saturday, April 5

IMPLANON™ Clinical Training • 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Register early! This session will reach capacity quickly! Join your colleagues for a clinical training on the newest method of birth control, IMPLANON™, an implantable, progesterone-only contraceptive. You will learn key clinical data about IMPLANON™ as well as important elements for patient counseling pre- and post-insertion. This session includes a hands-on training using specially designed model arms, and techniques for localizing placement and location will be discussed. Ordering and billing information for IMPLANON™ will also be covered.

This session, sponsored by Organon USA Inc., is not accredited for continuing education credit and is limited to 63 attendees. The training is open to clinicians only and only those who have not attended a previous IMPLANON™ training may register. Students may not register for this session. California-licensed NPs and CNMs must have a furnishing number to participate and must provide it on the Registration Form. Advanced practice clinicians from other states must have prescriptive privileges and be permitted to perform contraceptive implant insertions according to state practice guidelines. Attendees are expected to attend the entire program. Certificates of attendance will not be issued to those who arrive late or leave early. The tuition fee will be used by Contemporary Forums to offset administrative expenses.
