Conference Objectives

This conference will enable the experienced clinician to:

Improve clinical practice by incorporating advanced pathophysiologic concepts into the assessment, management and care of critically ill and injured patients.
Evaluate recent research and literature to better understand and appropriately utilize current evidence– based recommendations for care.
Utilize critical thinking skills when assessing sedation effectiveness, tissue oxygenation, coagulopathies and shock.
Describe emerging technologies and identify indications for use, as well as benefits and potential complications.
Identify the impact of effective interpersonal communication, collaboration, conflict management and teamwork on the work environment and patient care.
