A Certificate of Attendance is given upon completion of course requirements, enabling you to register your credit with the appropriate licensing boards or associations. To apply for credit not listed below, use the procedure established by the specific organization. Additional brochures and evaluation forms provided upon request.

Nurses and Nurse Practitioners
Preconference A or B: 3.75 ANCC/4.5 CA BRN contact hours
Preconference C: 7 ANCC/8.4 CA BRN contact hours
Main Conference: 16.75 ANCC/20.1 CA BRN contact hours
Legal Nurse Consultant: 10 ANCC/12 CA BRN contact hours

Contemporary Forums is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (As of January 1, 2007, ANCC’s contact hour = 60 minutes.)

This credit is accepted by all State Boards of Nursing and most professional organizations including the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

Contemporary Forums is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #04516. This credit is accepted by all State Boards of Nursing for license renewal. (1 contact hour = 50 minutes.)

The Certificate of Attendance will list both ANCC credit and California BRN credit. RN’s have the option of choosing which credit they will use for license renewal.

Many professional organizations and certifying agencies require ANCC credit. Please check with your professional and certifying organizations regarding the acceptance of ANCC vs. California BRN credit.

Pharmacology Credit for Prescriptive Authority
Preconference C: 6 hours
Main Conference: 5 hours available

Physicians
Preconference A or B: 3.75 credit hours
Preconference C: 7 credit hours
Main Conference: 16.75 credit hours

Contemporary Forums is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Contemporary Forums designates this educational activity for a maximum of the listed AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants
Preconference A or B: 3.75 hours
Preconference C: 7 hours
Main Conference: 16.75 hours

The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME to grant Category 1 hours toward the Physician’s Recognition Award. PA’s may report up to the listed hours of credit.

Pharmacists
Preconference A or B: 3.75 hours/.375 CEU’s
Preconference C: 7 hours/.7 CEU’s
Main Conference: 16.75 hours/1.675 CEU’s available

Contemporary Forums is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Statements of Credit will be distributed at course completion in exchange for a completed Conference Evaluation and Attendance Verification Form.

Respiratory Therapists
PCA = 3.75 hours
PCB = 3.75 hours
PCC = 7 hours
MC = 16.5 total hours
           Day 1 = 6.25
           Day 2 = 6.0
           Day 3 = 4.25

The Continuing Respiratory Care Education System of the American Association for Respiratory Care grants the listed hours of Category 1 credit, Program # 281790000. California BRN Credit is also acceptable for California respiratory therapists, provided the content is relevant to their field.
