Join your colleagues for this outstanding clinical update on pediatric sports medicine where you will focus on assessment and management of sportsrelated injuries and musculoskeletal complaints, as well as controversies associated with participation in the variety of sports available to children today. This Preconference will help you broaden your skills in exam techniques and management, improving your ability to manage many sports-related concerns in your office, minimizing referrals to a specialist.
Taught by two pediatric sports medicine specialists who will bring the content to life through interactive teaching, case studies and hands-on demonstration, this dynamic clinical update on state-of-the-art pediatric sports medicine will enable you to:
- Identify key issues and concerns related to children’s participation in team sports.
- Describe specific male/female gender differences as they relate to sports activity and injuries.
- Identify pediatric medical conditions which may affect a child’s ability to participate in sports.
- Discuss appropriate diagnostic and management strategies for fractures.
- Demonstrate exam techniques used in diagnosing common sports-related injuries and complaints.
